Time Out: Create!

We're back with another challenge at Time Out!  This time we're inspired by words:
“Paint the flying spirit of the bird rather than its feathers.” ~Robert Henri

These words instantly made be think of creating...and the 15th (the day the challenge started is also 'International World Dot' day-which is a day that celebrates the power and potential that creativity can inspire so it was a dual inspiration. This link gives more info International Dot Day if you are interested in taking a peek.

The winner of our challenge will receive a $15 gift certificate to Happy Little Stampers so pop on over to Time Out and play along with us!

Don't you love the inspiration photo?  So many fun colors and patterns to inspire you to play along.  I knew I wanted to use a couple of my Distress Oxide Inks and a stencil to play along with this challenge and I needed a masculine thank you for a male co-worker so it was the perfect opportunity to play along.

I hope that you're inspired to play along too!  The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge!  Pop on over to Curtain Call to check out all the fabulous inspiration from the team!

Wishing You the Joy of the Season

As I mentioned yesterday, I had time to get several more Christmas cards done this weekend. I love a soft striped water color background...super quick and nice for it not to be perfect!  I finished the card off with a die cut little snowman and a touch of glitter if you zoom in quickly on it. I'll be entering this card over at Happy Little Stampers and Merry Monday.

Merry & Bright

Happy Tuesday!  With the long weekend, I had extra time to create and I'm continuing to make a dent in getting my Christmas cards done.  You all know how much I love a good CAS card with lots of white space.  This design came together quickly and was inspired by the current challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch. Happy to say I made multiples of this one too!  I'll be back tomorrow with another Christmas card. Here's to a short and productive work week!

Curtain Call: Dream

Welcome to the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge!!
This week we are inviting you to join us for...

I loved the look and feel of this inspiration photo and new I wanted to go for a super CAS design.  I decided to make a card for my oldest who left for his sophomore year of college last Friday.  Pat took him back to school and I backed this in his bag with a note of love and encouragement.  He's very used to me tucking in notes to his things!  Wonder what he really thinks of them?!
The LEAD of this challenge will be invited to be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge so we would love for you to come and play along.  Please pop on over to play with us at Curtain Call...we'd love to see how you're inspired!

Christmas Blessings

Happy Monday my friends. Popping in to share a card that I made over the weekend...well actually I made about 10 of these as I need to get a move on with my Christmas cards.  I recognize the photo is a little blurry so my apologies!  I do love when a card idea you have in your head translates to the card.  And even better to combine stamps/dies from multiple companies. This one has Verve (sentiment), Paper Smooches (dies) and Winnie & Walter (woodgrain stamp).  How about you?  Christmas cards coming along? Do you like to combine supplies from multiple companies?  Would love to hear what all you are up to!

And of course, thanks to the fabulous ladies at CAS(E) this Sketch for inspiring my card yet again!
